CC101 at the Miami Springs All Angels Episcopal Church

On October 3rd, Olivia Collins, CLEO’s Director of Programs, collaborated with the All Angels Episcopal Church to kick off their participation in the Anglican Season of Creation. This runs from Sept.1 to the Feast of St. Francis on Oct. 4, encouraging people to pray and celebrate with creation, with a focus on the story of Earth, and commit to a ministry of healing Earth.

The community event had 55 people in attendance, which included lots of youth from the local high school. The crowd was very engaged, asking questions about how to live more sustainably and how to help be a meaningful part of the climate crisis solution!

This was a great segway before CLEO goes to Miami Springs Senior High as part of its collaboration with the Miami-Dade County Public Schools to bring climate education into the classroom, funded by the Miami-Dade County Environmental Education Grant.
