  • The National Climate Assessment - The National Climate Assessment summarizes the impacts of climate change on the United States, now and in the future. A team of more than 300 experts guided by a 60-member Federal Advisory Committee produced the report, which was extensively reviewed by the public and experts, including federal agencies and a panel of the National Academy of Science. 


  • Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change - The Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) provides a clear and up to date view of the current state of scientific knowledge relevant to climate change. It consists of three Working Group (WG) reports and a Synthesis Report (SYR) which integrates and synthesizes material in the WG reports for policymakers.

  • Climate.gov - Provides science and information for a climate-smart nation. American's health, security and economic well-being are closely linked to climate and weather. 


  • Whitehouse.gov/climate - In 2013, President Obama announced a series of executive actions to reduce carbon pollution, prepare the U.S. for the impacts of climate change, and lead international efforts to address climate change.


  • Our Changing Planet: The U.S. Global Change Research Program for Fiscal Year 2015 – From collecting satellite observations and modeling near-term climate, to supporting adaptation in the Federal Government and building skills among informal educators, to delivering the National Climate Assessment and sustaining the Nation's assessment capacity, this plain-language report demonstrates USGCRP's reach across the spectrum of research, decision support, education and communication.

  • Southeast Florida Regional Climate Compact – The Compact is an agreement adopted by the Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe and Palm Beach County Commissions in January 2010. The counties recognized the vulnerability of the Southeast Florida region to the impacts of climate change and resolved to work collaboratively on mitigation and adaptation strategies such as joint policies to influence climate/energy legislation and funding at state and federal levels, developing a Regional Climate Change Action Plan, and hosting annual summits to review progress and discuss strategies.
